My dad
Elle King

Elle King, 35, announced on Instagram that she is pregnant with her second child and revealed that she is expecting a baby boy, HollywoodUnlocked.com has reported. “Doubling down,” King wrote. “I am so happy. Thank you for all the love and support as @tattooker [partner Dan Tooker], Lucky and I grow our family. #tableforfour.”

During a podcast interview, King also opened up about her relationship with her dad, actor Rob Schneider. She described it has a “toxic and very silly” experience in her childhood.

An emotional post
In an emotional post surrounded by blue balloons and confetti, she expressed her happiness about expanding her family.
Rob Schneider
Born Tanner Elle Schneider in July of 1989, she later used the stage name Elle King as her music blends country, rock, and blues. She released her debut EP in 2012 and her first album, “Love Stuff,” in 2015, which featured the hit single “Ex’s & Oh’s.” This earned her two Grammy nominations. Her 2023 album is titled “Come Get Your Wife.”
My dad
“I put out my record, and people finally started asking about my dad,” King said. “My dad called me, and was like, ‘Don’t [expletive] talk about me in the press.'”
Her experiences
She spoke about the “toxic” aspects of her upbringing and her decision to speak publicly about her experiences.
A summer with my dad
“If I would ever spend a summer with my dad, it would be on a movie set. I would just get lost in the shuffle. If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, like, I would get in [expletive] trouble,” she recalled.
A very good reputation
“He also didn’t have a very good reputation. I don’t want to be associated with him. He’s just not nice. You can want someone to change so much; you can’t control anyone else’s actions. You can’t control people’s feelings. All you can control is how you react and what you do with your feelings, and sometimes I [expletive] boil up, and I boil over and I [expletive] bust my lid,” she said.
A million years
“I never in a million years thought that that was going to go viral. I was just speaking about my childhood and about my truth,” King later said. “I was not trying to hurt him. A lot of people said, ‘How could she say that about her family?’ and ‘Everything needs to be behind closed doors.’ No, it doesn’t. Sometimes you have to just say things and get them off your chest so that you don’t have to carry it for the rest of your life.”
Public apology
Despite Schneider’s public apology following her comments, King has maintained a distance from him.
The burden
She recently expressed a desire to move forward in life without the burden of their past.
