Jimmy Kimmel Jokes About What Is Really Triggering Trump

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel isn’t shy about criticizing former President Donald Trump. Last month, he hosted Jane Fonda and George Conway on his show following the ABC presidential debate.

Kimmel and Conway agreed that Trump lost the debate. Fonda also previously campaigned for Joe Biden prior to his departure from the race.

Kimmel recently suggested Trump is becoming more crazed and “mental” than usual during one of his campaign speeches, as verified by HollywoodUnlocked.com. Kimmel noted that Trump appeared to be bewildered by his own statements.

“Trump is now the oldest nominee for president ever and it’s starting to show,” Kimmel said.

“I’m not sure he even knows what he’s saying anymore. With all that’s going on ― missiles hitting Israel today ― this is what he was talking about in Wisconsin,” Kimmel added.

Kimmel cited a clip where Trump inexplicably discussed the casting of R. Lee Ermey in “Full Metal Jacket” while speaking at a factory that makes metal cages.

“Full Metal Jacket, right? He was supposed to get the Academy Award. He should have gotten it, but honestly, he wasn’t acting, but he was unbelievable in that movie,” Trump began.

“He was teaching… I don’t want to use the names, but big stars. And they were really bad. And then one of the producers came in from one of the big studios, MGM, whatever it was, and he saw this guy saying, do it this way. And he’s screaming like crazy right in the guy’s face, this far, and he said, ‘I don’t think any actor can do that.’ Anyway, they end up hiring the guy that was supposed to teach. He went through five actors and every one of them was weak and not believable. And he went through five and then the guy sees it. He said, ‘Maybe we could get this guy,’ but nobody ever heard of him. He was in the military,” Trump said.

“And it ended up to be one of the greatest movies because of him, largely because of him, and he was supposed to get the Academy Award, but they didn’t, because he wasn’t part of the establishment, to put it mildly, right? But he was great,” Trump added. “How good was that movie, right? Doesn’t get too much better. That’s great. I like that.”

Kimmel humorously suggested that Trump’s mention of “metal” triggered the rambling.

“What are you babbling about?” Kimmel asked.

“He heard the word ‘metal’ and he just went on a roll from there,” Kimmel said. “I don’t know about the jacket, but he is full mental for sure.”
